PAYMENT & DELIVERY POLICIES
1. What types of payment do you accept?
I accept al major credit cards through PayPal and could therefore accept payments from most of the world. In certain circumstances I might also accept U.S. money orders or U.S. checks, but I do need to be contacted first and will require a clearing time.
2. What is the delivery cost?
All giclee prints ship free of charge and paintings and drawings within the United States ship as quoted. I calculate international shipments
upon request so please do contact me if you do need an international shipping quote.
3. To what countries do you ship?
I am willing to ship worldwide. At the moment besides the United States, I regularly ship to Canada, the United Kingdom, Europe, Norway, Australia and Japan.
4.
What courier do you use?
All paintings are shipped using an insured courier. For prints and some of my international shipments I use the United States Postal Service. For shipments within the United States I use FedEx, DHL, USPS as well as UPS depending on the location, size of the package and mood I am in. I often get requests for using a specific courier (from the ones mentioned) for an item and would be willing to do so. However, this might make a difference in the shipping price.
(However, I will not send a few thousand $ via money wire to a private courier I have never heard off. Yes, I have been asked this ...many times ;-)
ABOUT THE ARTWORK
5. Do you do commissions?
Sometimes I do consider commissions that I feel inspired to do. I do reserve the right to choose what commissions I will take on before accepting any payments. For more details on commissions click here
6. What mediums do you use?
My choice of medium is pretty wide. Though I am mostly an oil painter I also sometimes use acrylics or a combination of oils and acrylics applied by brushes, palette knifes, fingers or what ever else I find lying around my studio that seems interesting enough. I also do collages and drawings in pencil, charcoal, pastel and ink. Then I have recently started playing in clay and marble as well as steel and aluminum.
FROM STUDENTS/ARTISTS
7. Would you answer a questionnaire for my school/college/university project?
It seems like there is a lot of art schools doing projects where students have to research artists. I get questionnaires every week and therefore compiled a list of the most frequently asked questions If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact me and I will get to them as soon as I can.
8. Could you analyse a few of your paintings for me?
I am always more than happy to discuss my work though lately I have been overwhelmed with such requests. The truth is that replying to every one of these emails the way that I would like to, is starting to take hours out of my days. I still try and get back to every single email, but please be patient since it sometimes takes weeks for me to get back to everyone.
COPYRIGHT
9. May I use images of your artwork?
All my works are copyright protected and I will take action against copyright infringement. I do however often allow images of my works being used for other art related websites and discussions as well as student's projects -as long as I am contacted before my image is used and my name and website URL does accompany all images in a visible way at all times.
10. When I purchase one of your works do I own the copyright?
No, rights do not transfer with the sale. No reproduction without written permission from myself.
RETURN POLICY & FEEDBACK
11. What is your return policy?
If you are not completely satisfied with any work, you can receive a full refund (excluding delivery and packaging costs as well as a small restocking fee) by returning the work to me in its original condition within seven days of receipt. You are responsible for return shipping cost.
For over ten years I have been shipping hundreds of my artworks worldwide and up to date I have only had one single return; which was a package containing glass that was dropped by a courier. The client was fully reimbursed and has remained a frequent customer for several years now. I take the fact that I have never had one single return from someone unsatisfied with their purchase as an indication that I must be doing something right.
12. What does your previous clients had to say about yor work?
Someone suggested to me that I should put up a page with all the emails I get from my collectors. Personally I'm not sure if I feel comfortable with that, but I know there is some entries in my guestbook and then of course my feedback page
If there is anything else you would like to know please feel free to contact me any time. I do check my email very regularly and will get back to you as soon as I can.
